Republican voices grow for independent Russian Federation probe

In some of the longest exchanges with reporters during a week filled with explosive headlines, including news that Comey had penned a memo documenting the president asking him to stop investigating Flynn, Trump said he thought the decision to fire Comey would be bipartisan, said repeatedly there was "no collusion" between his campaign and Russian Federation, and attempted to spin it as a partisan distraction.

"There may be grounds", Lynch told WBUR's Radio Boston.

"I need to actually be able to contact him and other than looking him up on Google, I need to network out how to be able do that", Chaffetz told the New York Times.

Asked whether Trump's actions could be an impeachable offense, Lynch referred to the federal statue against improperly obstructing an investigation.

Trump's own timeline and rationale for firing Comey has repeatedly been amended by his administration.

The Times reported that Comey shared this memo with senior FBI officials, who interpreted Trump's comments as an attempt to affect the course of the investigation. He says the Justice Department's naming of Robert Mueller late Wednesday as special counsel is consistent with that goal.

The day after Comey's ouster, Trump received Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and its ambassador to Washington, Sergey Kislyak, to whom he divulged highly classified intelligence, according to the Washington Post.

Repeating his assertion that Comey "was very unpopular with most people", Trump said he was dismissed over inaccurate testimony delivered before Congress as well as his faulty decision making during the presidential campaign.

Stop being lazy: Why you should read the book before you see the movie
Skipping reading a book before you watch a film means missing out on letting your imagination provide the images while you read. In that scenario, those who haven’t read the book first are much better off! There’s always an exception...

The FBI and several congressional panels are probing allegations of collusion between Trump's team and Russian Federation, something the president flatly denies.

The decision came hours after a report by the New York Times that claimed Trump asked Comey to end the agency's investigation into ties between Michael Flynn, the former White House national security adviser, and Russian Federation.

Mr Comey was ousted just days after he testified on Capitol Hill about the FBI's investigation into Russia's election meddling and possible connections between Russian Federation and Mr Trump's campaign. Initially, the White House claimed that Trump was simply following the recommendation of Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein.

The White House will not say whether Trump recorded conversations in the Oval Office. Trump wrote, misspelling the word counsel as he referred to Democratic former President Barack Obama and former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Speaking of the MS-13 gang presence in the US: "A terrible, frightful large group of gangs that have been let into our country over a fairly short period of time".

The media is viewed as the other sworn enemy, although Trump's allies readily concede the White House is to blame for many of its stumbles. We're going to have a director who is going to be outstanding, ' Trump vowed.

At the press conference, Trump said his administration "look forward to getting all these things behind us".

Elijah Cummings, top Democrat on a key House oversight panel, countered that Ryan and the Republicans had shown "zero, zero, zero appetite for any investigation of President Trump".
