Kumble Stays Back in London As Kohli & Boys Leave for West Indies

The CAC, which comprises of Dravid's former India teammates Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, chose to offer the two-year extension to the 44-year-old, after a successful stint with the junior side, that saw them reach the final of the ICC U-19 World Cup last year.

Dravid, while being the coach of the India U-19 and the India A teams, was also the mentor of the Delhi Daredevils team in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Indian cricket team head coach Anil Kumble has stayed back in England after the team's ICC Champions Trophy campaign, in order to attend an International Cricket Council (ICC) meet on June 22 and 23, news agency ANI reported quoting BCCI sources.

The report, however, added that details regarding the contract are yet to be finalised.

Dravid had been embroiled in a conflict of interest controversy after former Committee of Administrators (CoA) member Ramchandra Guha's lengthy letter to the CoA chief Vinod Rai.

Britain, EU launch Brexit talks in Brussels
He added that an orderly withdrawal was essential for both Britain and the EU. The EU appear to have claimed the first victory of the talks.

CAC has agreed to offer Dravid a fresh extension.

It was reported that Kumble didn't board the flight from England to West Indies, where India will be playing five ODIs and one T20 worldwide beginning June 23.

The committee was asked to look into the appointments of both the head coach of the Indian cricket team as well as the India A and under-19 teams.

The committee approved the two-year extension and everything will be official once Dravid's salary is decided.

A final decision on Dravid will be taken during the Special General Body meeting, where his remuneration is also set to be finalised. Earlier, Dravid used to draw more than four crores for his 10-month contract in the same role. Dravid, clearly not happy with the speculation, wrote to BCCI asking about clarity on the issue.
