Cichy lost for the entire 2017 season

"He's just going to attack the next phase, the next chapter for him, and you really appreciate that out of him", Badgers head coach Paul Chryst said.

Unfortunately, Chryst will have to make adjustments on the fly as returning senior starting inside linebacker Jack Cichy went down with an injury and it will end his season.

The Badgers were ready to rely on Cichy, following his injury-plagued 2016 season where he missed most of the season after tearing his left pectoral muscle.

Zach Heilprin of the Wisconsin Sports Zone passed along comments the inside linebacker made last month at the Big Ten Media Days about the previous setback. He's more than capable to take over as the starter and don't be surprised to see the defense not miss a step in Cichy's absence. Having all that notoriety one day and the next day you're kind of off in the shadows, was weird.

Trump says he was surprised by FBI's search of Manafort home
Seemingly out of the blue, Trump starts attacking the Acting FBI director, along with his own attorney general Jeff Sessions. As for special counsel Robert Mueller , Trump said: 'I'm not dismissing anybody I want to get on with the task'.

"I wanna thank this university and this great state for letting a Wisconsin boy come live out his dreams", the Somerset, Wisc. native said. Now those snaps are likely to get split between a trio of juniors-T.J.

Wisconsin kicks off the 2017 season at home on September 1 against Utah St.

The report didn't specify which knee or how it was injured, but added Cichy will undergo surgery Friday.
