Liverpool reject latest bid for Coutinho from Barcelona

Chief executive Oscar Grau headed the delegation, who have been desperate to get a deal done for Coutinho as they seek to replace Neymar in the Barca squad.

Barcelona believe the Brazilian worldwide has the ability to not only replace Neymar alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in a star front three, but could also provide cover for 33-year-old captain Andres Iniesta in midfield.

The La Liga giants had a £72m bid for the Brazil global rejected in July and, having sold Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record £200m last week, turned their attentions to pursuing the 25-year-old.

"I don't think you can [keep him]", he told Sky Sports News.

"Philippe Coutinho is a world-class player, but the power and the position is with Liverpool". However, according to reports, there's no price that would convince Liverpool to sell him, and they have no intention of entering negotiations about a possible transfer.

The "groundbreaking" NBA Live 18 demo launches tomorrow, August 11, for PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live members. EA Sports also released a trailer featuring Harden, shooting, dunking, and dancing in the game.

Reports in the United Kingdom claim this is a show of strength from Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp, on more than one occasion, insisting Coutinho would not be sold, for any price.

But their timing is poor, as with just three weeks left before the end of the transfer window, Liverpool have little time to find a replacement for Coutinho, if they were to sell. So we want to keep our guys and add new ones.

"Today no player on the planet is untouchable. We are not in that situation".

Barcelona have had a £90million move for Coutinho turned down by Liverpool, as the Catalan club look to spend the money received through Neymar's move to PSG.

Souness said he could not see Liverpool winning the Premier League title or the Champions League this season, even if his former club manages to hold on to Coutinho.
