Robert Aguayo Might Just Be Bad at Kicking Footballs

For as great of a kicker as he was in the ACC for the Florida State Seminoles, Roberto Aguayo was anything but that for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after getting picked in the second round of the draft.

Aguayo missed his first kick vs the Philadelphia Eagles during a preseason game previous year, and he was boo'd off the field by Bucs fans after missing more kicks during practice.

However, Friday night's game apparently topped it off as his kicking game woes continued on and he missed one field-goal and an extra point attempt in the team's loss to the Bengals in their preseason opener.

Aguayo made a 20-yard field goal for the Bucs in the game, but missed a 47-yard attempt and an extra point. Last season, he went 4-10 on kicks between 40 and 49 yards and missed his only attempt from 50+.

Some had clauses, some had no clauses; we had the Lewandowski thing and that was hard when he went to Bayern on a free transfer. The Catalan club has repeatedly made hefty bids for the 25-year-old, with the latest bid being reported at £90.5 million.

Nick Folk, who was signed in the offseason to compete with Aguayo, made his only field-goal attempt Friday night, a 45-yarder. "When I caught it, I knew I pushed it a little bit and I was like, 'Hopefully it will stay in, ' but it hit the upright".

"You know, I keep saying it, I can't say it anymore", Koetter said. "You're a kicker. You've gotta make your kicks", Koetter said, via Unlucky", Aguayo said. "That last one, I was just trying to put a good hit on it. I hit it good and it just started to fade. "You just have to keep your head up move on to the next day". His 71% accuracy on field goals was the lowest in the NFL. Not what I wanted.

"When you get bored doing something, 'well there's more I can do". Obviously, not up to the standards that I want. "It's a new day".
