Detroit Red Wings Threaten Legal Action Against White Nationalist Rally

Detroit Red Wings Threaten Legal Action Against White Nationalist Rally

The Detroit Right Wings had been using the altered Red Wings logo on its Twitter account, which was taken down Saturday afternoon.

Those white supremacists were not only holding a "Unite the Right" rally, but also holding shields that resembled the iconic logo of the Detroit Red Wings.

Earlier Saturday, rally supporters and counterprotesters screamed, chanted, threw punches, hurled water bottles and unleashed chemical sprays on each other.

A slightly modified version of the team's distinctive red-and-white logo is being used at the "Unite the Right" rally by a MI group calling themselves "The Detroit Right Wings".

Floods claim 5; hit train services
Armed forces and disaster relief forces, engaged in relief and rescue operations, evacuated 2,615 stranded people. More than 25 lakh people in 29 districts of the state had already been affected by the floods.

In response, the NHL's Detroit Red Wings issued a statement Saturday condemning the bastardized use of their logo in such a hateful way and threatened legal action. That thing inside the wheel is an SS pattern. The team adds that it believes hockey is for everyone and celebrates the diversity of its fan base and the country.

"This specific use is particularly offensive because it runs counter to the inclusiveness that our league values and champions", Daly said in an email to The Associated Press. The GoFundMe raising resulted in only $328 from four total donations.

One person died and 19 were injured after a auto plowed through a crowd Saturday at the rally.
