CCP Games also mentioned that they are continuing to "experiment with additional unannounced VR projects in development".

"Releasing EVE: Valkyrie for high-end VR headsets embodied the culmination of a decades-long dream for CCP", said Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, CEO of CCP Games. Even with this move though, CCP will continue to support Eve: Valkyrie across the PC, PS4 and virtual reality platforms.

Valkyrie Warzone update will bring new content next month, and add one big feature to make the game accessible to more players. If you haven't - you need to buy the game for $29.99 and cross-play, cross-reality game is all yours.

The new expansion, titled EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone, will allow players on PC VR platforms such as Oculus Rift and HTC Vive as well as PlayStation VR users to play alongside users who are only using a flat TV or monitor to do their piloting. "Not having access to VR hardware will no longer hold gamers back from diving weapons-first into intense and highly competitive space combat with friends".

You know, there's tons of things I wish I would have done differently, or matches that I wish would've gone differently. It remains to be seen whether it was just a plot twist or if something is going on with Corbin behind the scenes.

The game introduces new game mode - good old capture-the-flag is now "Extraction", while two new maps - "Fleet" and "Outpost" extend the "it's new" feeling.

Warzone will be released for free to Valkyrie owners on September 26. At launch, this game was a VR exclusive.

There will be new weapons and abilities to inflict upon each other, including powerful ship-specific Ultra abilities that, when timed correctly, can turn the course of battle. There will also be new weekly Wormholes to fight for, where established reality is twisted for a fresh gameplay experience. According to Lead Designer Andrew Willans over on the PlayStation Blog, it's created to be a "complete overhaul" of the game, with the most important new feature being the addition of traditional display support. Players will also be able to fight for Spoils of War to earn Loot Capsules, enabling them to unlock a hangar-full of personalization options for their ships and pilot.
