Gary Cohn stays on as White House chief economic adviser

As President Donald Trump has dug his feet in following his initial failure to fully denounce white nationalists after a vehicle attack in Charlottesville, Virginia, Trump has been acting out of anger and has become increasingly isolated in the White House this week.

Prior to the attack in Spain, markets were digesting news Trump had dissolved a pair of White House business advisory boards amid an exodus of CEOs outraged at Trump's comments on white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups involved in the violence in Virginia that killed one woman.

"That's a fight I fight every day here", Bannon said, according to the magazine.

"Cohn is a key member of the administration who is determined to press forward with tax reform".

Gary Cohn, the top economic advisor to Trump, who is Jewish, was very upset with Trump's comments on the attack, but he has not threatened to resign, the Post reported, citing unnamed people close to Cohn.

"We firmly believe that if Mr. Cohn departs the White House there will be a material market sell-off as he is running point on tax reform and considered as a front-runner to replace Federal Reserve Chair Yellen", Boltanksy said.

Which brings us to Gary Cohn.

Cohn quickly consolidated power inside a White House that was often at war with itself and built a team of experts to work on health care, infrastructure, tax policy and other issues.

She also explains that she was not in a relationship with any of Mugabe's sons & did not know that they were President Mugabe's sons.

He even had some success softening Trump's nationalist impulses.

Cohn has tried to steer his aides away from Washington politics and focus them instead on getting results, even if they come slowly, or not at all.

United States stocks plunged last night on receding expectations President Donald Trump would be able to push through his policy agenda of tax cuts and increased infrastructure spend.

It's Cohn who meets with numerous chief executives hoping to offer an idea, or plead a cause, with the White House.

Regardless, the possibility of Cohn's departure clearly has Wall Street a bit on edge.

The White House is not exactly known for smooth communications these days. "Gary is focused on his responsibilities as NEC Director and any reports to the contrary are 100 percent false".

During an interview on CNBC, Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, the normally outspoken senior associate dean of the Yale School of Management, said that if Cohn were to leave the White House, a stock selloff would ensue that could "crash the markets".
