Under Armour CEO joins the exodus from the President's Manufacturing Council

"We remain resolute in our potential and ability to improve American manufacturing", Plank said in a statement. "We choose love & unity", CEO Kevin Plank, who also left the council, said in a tweet from the company's Twitter account.

The manufacturing council is an advisory group of executives from across the country. Within an hour, the president had counterpunched, as he's prone to do, saying that now that Frazier was off the manufacturing council, Merck would have more time to cut what the president called rip-off drug prices.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk resigned from the manufacturing council in June, as well as two other advisory groups to the president, after the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement.

The president has himself admitted to producing Trump-branded products internationally on various occasions after it became a critique of his rivals during last year's presidential election.

Lloyd Blankfein, the chief executive of Goldman Sachs who has called the President's decision to bail on the climate-change deal a set back, tweeted: "Lincoln: 'A house divided against itself can not stand.' Isolate those who try to separate us".

The White House came under fire after Trump refused to explicitly condemn white supremacists for their role in a violent protest Saturday in the southern state of Virginia. "No equivalence w/ those who bring us together", Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein tweeted on Monday morning, Reuters reported.

Unilever chief executive, Paul Polman tweeted that his praise, noting Frazier's "strong leadership".

The resignations follow Trump's delay in denouncing white supremacy following Saturday's tragedy in Charlottesville, Va.

YouTube TV Expands to 14 More Markets in the United States
Surprisingly, more than a dozen locations across the country have been added to the list of regions where YouTube TV is available. Since their basic plan is only $35 a month, it's an easy sell for the most part compared to cable.

He specifically said Merck was manufacturing drugs overseas, even though he praised Merck last month for a new US manufacturing initiative with two other companies. "I hope this will change, and I remain willing to serve when it does", he wrote in a blog post on the company's website late Monday.

Kenneth Frazier, who is the CEO of Merck, has quit an advisory panel and criticised a racist protest in Virginia over the weekend, which left a woman dead.

Hundreds of white supremacists clashed with counter demonstrators as a vehicle rammed into the crowd and a police helicopter crashed on Saturday, killing three people and injuring 19 others in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Under pressure to take an unequivocal stand against right-wing extremists who occupy a loyal segment of Trump's political base, the administration sought to sharpen its message on Sunday.

But he was quick to bash Frazier on Twitter.

I have already made clear my abhorrence at the recent hate-spawned violence in Charlottesville, and earlier today I called on all leaders to condemn the white supremacists and their ilk who marched and committed violence.

Trump sparked outrage by blaming the violence on "on many sides - on many sides". Chairman and CEO Bob Iger resigned for the same reason from the President's Strategic and Policy Forum, which Trump established to advise him on how government policy impacts economic growth and job creation.
