Officers Nordman, Hamill and Rengering were simply going about their day to day business as part of the night crew scheduled to work following Hurricane Irma.

The photo quickly went viral on social media, racking up thousands of shares and likes, as well as comments that the department says, "made the chief blush".

Commenter Robin Lewis quipped: "So if I don't remain silent, will something be held against me?" "We are dying with the comments".

"Do a calender, add puppies and I'm pretty sure we can rebuild Texas and Florida", one user suggested.

The update also says Officers Nordman and Hamill were already married, and that both of their wives are enjoying how many people are going insane over their husbands. Officer Rengering, described as the one "with the fantastic hair", is single, but the department jokes he's being placed into "Cougar Prey Protective Care, similar to the witness protection program for his safety".

In fact, the Gainesville Police Department had one woman say she was "convinced this police department is fake and this is actually an ad for Magic Mike 3".

Not long after that, the Sarasota Police Department sent backup.
