Mississippi State outgained LSU on offense 467 yards to just 270 yards led by quarterback Nick Fitzgerald who had 268 yards from scrimmage.

In past two losses to LSU, Mississippi State ran for a combined 99 yards. Quarterback Nick Fitzgerald is 13-of-20 for 149 yards and a touchdown - while the team's ground game has produced 206 rushing yards and two more scores. Meanwhile, Fitzgerald and the Bulldogs scored 30 unanswered points against LSU's defensive depleted from injury and disqualification.

After the game, several players said they were embarrassed by the lack of discipline and number of penalties by the Tigers.
