Police give all-clear after British Airways plane searched in Paris

The fligh heading to London Heathrow airport has been delayed for more than three hours.

One passenger said those on board were informed by the pilot that an individual had made a direct threat against the aircraft.

A spokesman for Charles de Gaulle airport said the search was instigated by customs officials and was routine. We will all be led off the aircraft and baggage searched in due course.

A London-bound British Airways flight was evacuated at Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport on Sunday due to a security scare, but was later cleared for take-off, the airport's operator said.

The spokesman said each passenger and each bag was checked and the plane was thoroughly examined but no threats were found.

All those on the flight have since been searched by armed officers.

Sniffer dogs were also used to search hand luggage.

That has not changed. "What happened was that I received an offer for work and, in life, sometimes you're interested and sometimes not".

"We were then told the aircraft had to move to another part of the airport".

A BRITISH Airways flight was evacuated in Paris this morning after the pilot warned a "direct security threat" had been made against the plane.

"They needed to make sure everybody and everything has been searched". The passengers were picked up by airport staff before re-boarding.

The airline stressed that the additional security checks had been carried out merely as a precaution and added they would never allow a flight to take off unless it was safe to do so.

The UK's threat level is now at its highest level - critical - after 30 people were injured in an explosion on a London Underground train at Parsons Green in southwest London.

An 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the bomb attack.
